ISUZU'S HISTORY
  • 1863 - INCORPORATED
    Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd was established

  • 1922- FIRST VEHICLE CAR
    Produce first passenger vehicle ever made in Japan, the Wolseley A9

  • 1933- THE NAME ISUZU WAS COINED
    Launched the “Isuzu”, a government standard model car named after the Isuzu River

  • 1934 - DEVELOPMENT OF 1st DIESEL ENGINE
    Developed diesel engines, a technology that had not yet been commercially established even in the advanced nations of Europe and North America.

  • 1949 - ISUZU MOTORS LTD
    Changed company name to become Isuzu Motors Ltd.

    The year ISUZU commenced its overseas operations, with the first export of ISUZU vehicles to Hong Kong.
